HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Lani Nash, a notable singer-songwriter moves audiences of all ages with her poignantly beautiful lyrics, and vocals that linger with a genuine heartfelt quality. Lani is just recently signed a production and publishing deal with Lucky Hound Music in Austin, Texas.

Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, her musical start came before she was born. Lani’s grandfather, Connie Crunk (stage name Connie Conway), a noted musician, singer, songwriter, producer, and music teacher worked with songwriter/producer Lee Hazelwood, writer of “These Boots Are Made of for Walking” (Nancy Sinatra and producer of Wayne Newton) was a great inspiration to Lani. Her mother and her aunt, daughters of Connie Crunk, were also in a recording group called “The Three Teens” as teenagers.

Nash moved to Oklahoma at the start of her career and toured throughout the south and Midwest with her band “The Bootnicks”. She has performed, written, produced and released four albums to date. Lani co-produced “I’m Only Here for the Music” (top 40 on the AMA charts), and her most recent record “ONE”, with Steve Durr at The ShowRoom Studio in Nashville, TN. Steve Durr: executive producer; mix & recording engineer. Matt Schlachter co-engineered “ONE”.

Nash says: “‘ONE’ has been a wonderful journey, and I am grateful for the incredible opportunity to work with such an amazing team of creative musicians, engineers, & supportive friends on this project. It was my desire to create something uplifting, all inclusive, with a positive message, and still remain commercially viable enough to spread this message far and wide. It was an honor to cover one of my all time favorite songs, “Imagine” by the late John Lennon. These new compilations, with full instrumentation & beautiful string arrangements (Cello, Viola, Violin) have taken on a real life of their own, I’m truly blessed”

Lani’s live performances have included venues such as Nashville’s Blue Bird Cafe, 3rd and Lindsley, Douglas Corner, Blue Bird on The Mount, Pensacola Songwriter’s Festival, Vermont’s Maritime Festival, Legendary Dobbs (Philly), NYC’s The Bitter End, Bowery Electric, The Living Room, Oklahoma – VZD’s and Oklahoma Civic Center, South Florida- The Luna Star Café, Smokin Tuna’ (Key West), Folk Club of South Florida featured Songwriter, and most recently spent 2 years touring Canada from Montreal to Vancouver Island.

“Every now and then the cornucopia of singer/songwriters that is Nashville delivers something both substantive and tasty. From the current crop of Nashville musicians comes Lani Nash, who delivers shades of Mary Chapin Carpenter, Patti Griffin and Reba McEntire, in a style that is uniquely hers…” Oklahoma City Events

“Lani Nash’s always honest delivery and thought provoking, and often entertainingly clever songwriting of both ballads and up tempo folk repertoire has an appeal that cuts across genres. The combination of her songwriting and her ability to convey emotion make for electrifying performance.”
Michael Silverstone – Traveling Yellow Sofa, Northampton, MA

“[She has] the heart and soul of Lucinda Williams (think ‘Car Wheels on a Gravel Road’), and the timbre and phrasing of Jennifer Nettles (think Sugarland’s ‘Stay’)”—Got Folk.com

“Really, independent artists don’t get much better than this. And Ms. Nash doesn’t need to; she’s perfect the way she is.”—from Amazon Review”

“Lani is such a talent and her music is truly moving…”
